01 | THE CHALLENGE

Too much work. Too little structure.

Walmart Canada’s cross-functional Marketing and Communications teams were overwhelmed by the volume of work, without clearly defined processes and tools to manage incoming requests. The result? Lengthy briefing timelines, repeated restarts and a process that put both work quality and speed to market at risk.

02 | THE APPROACH

Listen, align and redesign.

I began by conducting 16 stakeholder interviews and shadowing five Walmart employees to understand how work moved through the organization.

Using these insights, I facilitated five co-creation workshops to map the existing process, clarify roles and responsibilities through a RACI framework, and identify opportunities to simplify the briefing journey.

I then developed revised process flows and new strategic and tactical briefing templates, designed to guide requestors through the information needed to get projects moving.

03 | THE OUTCOME

A clearer process. Faster briefs. Better collaboration.

The result was a more structured foundation for getting the right information, people and decisions in place earlier, helping teams move work forward with greater clarity.
